Why Facebook Had To Go.

In case you were wondering what my Vacation from Facebook* was all about... The 10 occurrences that lead me to conclude that Facebook Had To Go.

1. I actually used “facebook” in conversation. Fuck, I actually have had entire conversations about facebook. Double-fuck. I used to make fun of those people whose daily events consisted of someone’s “reply” to a “status”... people wouldn’t dare discuss such stupidity with me, and yet here I sat, on the phone actually LISTENING and CONTRIBUTING to such childish nonsense... fuck, I feel like I have regressed to 7th grade. read more »

Deleting Douchebag, et al.

Perhaps it was a bit too much to have 3 extra shots of espresso in my already large latte. Combined with a somewhat stressful day, a bit too much caffeine is never a good thing when running errands. To simplify: with all the running around, I managed to lock my keys in the trunk of my car, leaving me stranded in a parking lot with nothing but my cell phone in hand... thank GOD for the internet. On that note, it took me 20 minutes to locate a number for triple A... it should be the very first thing on their web site... but no, that would just be too fucking convenient. THEN, it took tow-truck-extraordinaire an hour and a half to call me back and tell me he had already gone to the “given address” and I was not there... yes, me, sitting on the roof of the ONLY car in the entire parking lot... a grocery store parking lot with bright-ass lights. Then he had the nerve to argue with me that I had “missed” him...fucking douchebag. Anyway, time spent sitting on my car with cell phone in hand waiting for rescue was a great opportunity to purge my cell phone of unneeded numbers... read more »

Bill Gates: The 11 Things You Don’t Learn In School

This is probably the best thing I’ve found on MySpace in the however-many years I’ve been on there. This is from a recent speech by Bill Gates at Mt. Whitney High School in Visalia, California about the 11 things students will not learn in school. He talked about how feel-good, politically correct teachings created a generation of kids with no concept of reality and how this concept set them up for failure in the real world... maybe he did say this, maybe he didn’t... love him, hate him, he sure does hit the nail on the head though.
